Ryan A. Sawyer, Au.D., was born and raised in Tulsa, OK. He received his B.S. degree in Speech Pathology and Communicative Disorders from Oklahoma State University in 1995. In 1998, he received his M.S. degree in Audiology from University of Louisiana, Lafayette (formerly University of Southwestern Louisiana). In May of 1998, he took his first job as a dispensing audiologist in Denver, CO. Desiring a clinical/diagnostic audiology position he discovered a great opportunity in Corpus Christi, TX with Claude McLelland, M.D. In November 1999, he moved to Corpus Christi, TX to work as a clinical audiologist for Dr. McLelland. In August 2006, he received his Au.D. (Doctor of Audiology) degree from A.T. Still University- Arizona School of Health Sciences. In January 2007, he began Sawyer Audiology- a complete hearing healthcare facility owned and operated by the only Doctor of Audiology in Corpus Christi, TX. Much appreciation goes out to Dr. McLelland for all of his encouragement and support during the transition.
Dr. Sawyer is licensed in the state of Texas (Texas State Board of Examiners for Audiology), a member of the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech and Hearing Association.
